As the sweltering summer days arrive, it is the season of abundant fresh fruits. Fruits not only have a cooling effect, but are also very healthy. Incorporating fruits into dishes not only adds vibrant colors, but also a delightful blend of tangy and sweet flavors that can stimulate the appetite. Yakiniku Guu is launching a new themed promotion "Fruit Festival" from July 3 to September 30, 2024, to bring customers a refreshing summer feast.

This "Fruit Festival" features a variety of specialized dishes made with various fruits, allowing customers to enjoy the collision of the rich flavors of Japanese yakiniku and the refreshing taste of fruits. For the starters, customers who order the Level 2 or above all-you-can-eat set will receive, in addition to the standard yakiniku starter, a Luzon mango and mixed fruit salad, as well as a fruit sauce-marinated hanger steak. Those who order Level 3 or above will also receive Musang King durian on lightly grilled bun, satisfying the cravings of durian lovers. The burst of durian aroma and the smooth, sweet flesh combined with the soft yet slightly crispy bun deliver an unexpected gastronomic delight.

Using Japanese yuzu, apple, kiwi and lemon as ingredients, our head chef curated an array of fruit sauces blended with Japanese yakiniku sauce. The sauce infuses the rich meat flavors with a refreshing sour-sweet element, elevating the taste experience while also balancing the oiliness of the grilled meats, making it a crowd-pleaser. The Luzon mango is the sweetest variety among all mangoes, with the perfect level of sourness, and a smooth, vibrant flesh and intense mango aroma. Our head chef uses this special mango to create a mixed fruit salad, whetting the appetite of diners before they indulge in the meal.

In addition to the impressive starters, the unlimited order-via-QR-code section also features several new fruit-themed delicacies, such as fruit sauce-marinated pork belly, fruit sauce-pickled squid, Japanese wagyu beef fried noodles, deep-fried durian glutinous rice ball, chocolate marshmallow banana, Japanese crispy sweet potato, and coconut mochi, allowing customers to discover the endless possibilities of fruit-infused dishes. In the self-service section, the culinary team has also meticulously prepared several fruit-themed cooked dishes, including wok-fried beef with dragon fruit in black pepper sauce, lemon coke chicken wings, and stir-fried chicken thigh with pineapple. Fresh and juicy pineapple, watermelon and cantaloupe are also available for customers to enjoy. Lastly, during the Fruit Festival period, the ice cream machine will offer two fruit-flavored ice creams, yuzu and mango, to provide a perfect ending to the yakiniku feast.
